Touching molecules in virtual reality (VR) requires synchronization between the virtual hand in VR and the actual hand. If the movements of the virtual hand and the actual hand are slightly out of sync, people feel a sense of discomfort. Predicting the actual hand movement in real time eliminates this discomfort.
